by Theological Commission
Next Monday and Tuesday, students, professors, pastors, and church leaders of many stripes will converge on the campus of Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College for the annual Free Will Baptist Theological Symposium, sponsored by the Commission for Theological Integrity. This is one of two unique events sponsored by the Commission each year. In July, the Commission sponsored a theological trends seminar at the National Association in Grand Rapids. Building on that discussion of discipleship, the symposium theme this year is “The Theology of Discipleship.”
This stimulating, two-day event will begin next Monday (10/26) at 6:00pm on Hillsdale’s campus. The Monday evening session will last until approximately 8:45pm, and the Tuesday session will begin promptly at 9:00am, and last until approximately 8:30pm. There will be refreshments and discussion between each paper presentation, as well as a lunch break and dinner break on Tuesday.
This year’s presentations include forays into the role of preaching in discipleship, the work of the Holy Spirit, divine providence, singleness, and more. Attendees will have opportunities to not only listen and learn, but purchase a copy of the digest of papers to be presented, and engage presenters during times of discussion following each presentation.
